MC78M05BDTRKG is a 3-terminal positive voltage regulator, the specified output current is only half, used for local and on-card voltage regulation. It has internal current limit, thermal shutdown circuit and safe area compensation of internal pass transistor, making the device very rugged under most operating conditions. The maximum output current with sufficient heat dissipation is 500mA.
