The UCC27210 driver is based on the popular UCC27200 and UCC27201 MOSFET drivers but offers several significant performance improvements. Usually used for APW8 APW9 power driver chip maintenance. Peak output pull-up and pull-down currents have been increased to 4-A source and 4-A sink, and pull-up and pull-down resistors have been reduced to 0.9 Ω, allowing high-power input structures to be driven with minimal switching. Now capable of directly handling –10 VDC, which improves robustness and also allows direct connection to the gate drive transformer without the use of rectifier diodes. The input is also independent of supply voltage, with a maximum rating of 20V.
